Have you ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes at Nepean? Behind the curtains of the school productions, before assemblies, during fun events like Coffee House and talent shows? The answer to that is NTEK: a group of students, led by the amazing Mr. Carter. With weekly meetings at lunch to expand learning about microphones, basic sound systems, and lighting, NTEK is a very hands-on class. It lasts year long since it doesn’t take up any class time and even earns you a credit. The inclusive atmosphere allows for students of any grade level to come together and learn something new and useful. It can help you prepare for a future career in film and theatre production, and expand your knowledge on the technology behind creating atmospheres on stage. If this sounds like something you or a friend might be interested in, please feel free to reach out to Mr. Carter (vocals room) or get in touch with your guidance counselor!
